Work Experience
At Happy Paws, we encourage and support those who are looking for work experience to support their college/univeristy applications or just to get an idea of what working/running a rescue is like.

We can be adaptable and considerate for students who are vulnerable due to disabilities. Vicki (the rescue manager) has previously worked with students who have additional needs in education so we are equipped to adapt to your needs.

If you have any particular areas you want to experience (for example, vet visits for veterinary students) please let us know when you submit a form!

Work experience tasks will include everything that volunteers do, but we can focus more on what you want to improve skill-wise.
Finally, our rescue is happy to provide a reference of attendance and performance for students and be contacted by colleges/universities to verify the reference.

Please note individuals who are volunteering or doing work experience may be asked to do a DBS check due to the nature of some tasks involved.
